Breakdown!

Of the motor vehicle variety...
Something to 'gum'
Costa NEED a healthier range of snacks for sure!!
So here we are, in Costa on the M4 at Chievely Services. How did you get there?! I here you cry! (Yes I hear voices). Well let me tell you, dear readers, all about our journey to and from Mia's 'homeland' (yes it needs inverted commas; she's ENGLISH) of Wales.

I had it all sussed. The whole journey was thought through to the minute so that Mia's sleep rituals would not be disrupted.  I was going to hit the road at 10am so she could/would hopefully fall asleep and snooze the whole way there, ready to party upon her arrival in the 'Diff. Pah! Best lad plans and all that...

Playing at the Services in Chievely
Pootling along the M4, Mia chattering away (refusing to sleep of course) when the car beeped, flashed up an error message and then started losing power. It wasn't a dramatic, sudden loss, but I was very aware that something wasn't right as I pressed down on the accelerator and not much happened in response. This was my cue to return to the slow lane and try to figure out what was going on. I had presumed it wasn't serious as I still had some power. And luckily, about 2 minutes further along the road was the exit for Chievely Services. YES! So off I went, rolling the car down the hill into the car park where I then spent 5 minutes trying to find my phone (mild panic) and then called my Knight in Shining Armour; Johny. Alas though, today, as I had the only vehicle and was too far away, he was not able to come to my aid, so instead I called the AA. And Johny contacted his parents and Peter came on down to meet me and Miso. Yay!

Well I guess the shortest version of this rather explicable tale is that the car got fixed by the very nice AA man and we headed up and over to Cardiff where Mia could finally get to see her GreatGranny; it's been too long since they last saw each other!

Interestingly, Mia was more than happy to open her little goblet for solids when being fed by a toddler; who knew?!

Now this image I promised I would put up as Mia has, as you can see, inadvertently tackled this harmless 'puff' as if it were a cigarette. Genius.

Catching up on the goss'

And here we have, three beautiful Welsh ladies, all gathered around the sink, doing the washing up. Ensuring all the dishes are clean, beavering away with a woman's work.

Of course they weren't! They were bathing our little belle in the kitchen sink. And as you can see, she had the best time, like, ever.

I'd like to say a HUGE thank you to Peter and Linda for having us over for a couple of days and I'm sorry we had to leave so soon. I love coming to visit you guys as I always feel so loved; and so, indeed does my little Munchkin. I hope we get to come back very soon. Thank you again, Petey for coming to the rescue!!!

Oh and for the record, Mia slept pretty much the whole way home. Thank you little lady. xx
